Note that the recent volcanic activity in Iceland is not causing any issues with arriving and departing from Iceland.
All regular tours and activities are operating as scheduled with the exception of Blue Lagoon visits and Reykjanes tours. The volcanic activity is limited to an area on the Reykjanes peninsula, with no effects on the capital area or other areas in Iceland.
In the case of any cancellations due to Blue Lagoon closures or other interruptions, a full refund will be provided.

During summer at Berunes Restaurant, our chefs will delight you with a dynamic menu, showcasing the flavors of the regions. Complemented by regional craft ales and an impressive wine list, we invite you to savor an authentic local dining experience.


Owner and chef Róbert Ólafsson of Forrettabarinn Restaurant in Reykjavík, a native of Berunes, brings over 30 years of international culinary expertise, having learned his first kitchen tricks from his mother and grandmother. 


Nestled between a stunning mountain range and a serene seafront, Berunes offers a truly unique location in the East Fjords. We highly recommend to fully enjoy the plethora of activities, including hiking Mt Steinketill and leisurely strolls along the coastline. The highly-rated HI Hostel provides unique accommodation for approximately 50 guests, offering rooms, cottages, and a welcoming, well-equipped camping site.
